Sweet Pea Logo Design Project

Sweet Pea Designs Final Logo

Sweet Pea Designs Final Logo

I recently had the great pleasure of designing a logo for a baby bedding company in Kansas City. I had a great time working on this logo. I was around 8 months pregnant when I worked on this logo so I was definitely in “baby-mode.” I love the way the final logo turned out. The final version is above and some of the original concepts are shown below.

Baby Zoë has arrived!

Baby Zoë made her big debut last week, 10-12-10. I plan to share all of the details of her birth sometime soon when I get the time. (Yeah, right!) She is such a sweet good baby so far —I couldn’t ask for better. Max is adjusting to life with a little sis. We have our moments, but he loves her so much already. It’s so neat to watch them interact. I have lots more to share about her, but for now, here is a pic. . .

Zoe’s Taggie Blanket

Taggie Blanket for Baby Zoe

Being in a craft mood of late, I’ve been busy making a few things here and there for the arrival of Baby Zoe (or as Max says. . . Baby OOOEY). Max loved to chew and play with tags on toys when he was a baby, so I have always thought these little lovies were such a great idea. With stuff I already had, I was able to whip up this cute little taggie blanket. I’m sure it will be her favorite toy once she realizes toys exist and figures out how to work her hands. LOL!

New Member of the Family to arrive October 17 (or so)!

Little Bundle

Baby DeGraffenreid #2

I am excited to announce that we will be adding another little one to our family in October. Sadly, I think this will be our last. I can’t wait to meet the little him or her. (I think it’s a him). We will be finding out the sex on May 27th and I am already having dreams about little girls and boys. I have been thinking about names, but nothing definite yet. We still have a ways to go. Overall, we are a little nervous, but excited.

This is a detail shot of the pattern that was screenprinted.

This is the “modern” baby quilt that I made for my friend, Ashly’s baby boy. The pattern and idea came from “Printing by Hand” by Lena Corwin. I screenprinted the fabric for the front and purchased the fabric for the back. Constructing the quilt was really simple and the book had really nice instructions. I really enjoyed screenprinting with random screen placement. I am going to try to develop some different designs that use this same technique.
